Strategic Safeguarding Days for Trust leaders

Strategic Safeguarding Days for Trust leaders

Following the success of our Safeguarding Strategic Development Days for South West Trust Leaders, we are looking to work with other Trust leaders to replicate the model in other parts of the country. The days aim to provide a collaborative leadership forum that supports Trust safeguarding leaders to develop strategic and operational insight through shared learning, reflection, and professional challenge.

Christine Freestone, Head of Supervisory Services at Safeguarding Network: “Reflecting upon our starting point at our first meeting and the way in which these leadership days have developed, we have been able to shape the content and relevance/interests with Trust colleagues, enabling everyone to take short, medium and long-term views of the safeguarding landscape. This is also one of those rare occasions when Trust leads can network with others, reflect, challenge and be challenged. As a group we have been able to share good practice, reflect upon complex safeguarding situations, and share experiences. Senior Trust leaders come from all spheres of education provision and the resultant conversations and reflections are aligned to the complexities of the role and with strategic planning and operational support."

If you are interested in finding out some more, we have an online session scheduled on the 15th June @ 2:45-3:45pm hosted by Chris Freestone and Jackie Thompson with the following agenda:
