Helping Families - what staff need to know webinar booking now...

The KCSiE 2026 consultation sets out that staff need to know about responses to absence and how to access family help (both from your setting and local agencies). It also sets out that staff should know threshold criteria for child protection assessment pathways, children in care and the procedures and processes for children within the youth secure estate and disabled children.

This session takes DSLs through the requirements and how we can effectively deliver sessions within early years settings, schools and colleges to ensure all staff have clarity about how to respond to young people and families. We’ll consider how these processes link into effective work with families and provide valuable materials to support you in delivering this to your staff teams.

Scheduled for May 8th, 12pm-1pm, all registrants will receive a session recording and slides.

NON-MEMBERS: this webinar is £10 + VAT.

Free Webinar: Mental Health, Inclusion and Safeguarding: Meeting KCSIE and Ofsted Expectations

Education provisions have a key role not only in supporting young people within the learning environment but also helping to lay the foundation of positive mental health and well-being throughout life.

In partnership with CPOMS, the session will review some of the key factors in creating and supporting an inclusive approach including:

  • How teaching and learning can promote resilience, wellbeing and inclusion.

  • What strong partnerships to support children beyond the classroom look like.

  • Why ensuring a joined-up approach to safeguarding and mental health support is essential.

There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the session.

Scheduled for May 5th, 4pm - 5pm, this free webinar will also be available to watch on demand to all registrants.

What do DSLs, Headteachers and senior leadership teams think of the KCSiE 2026 Consultation?

In March of this year we ran a series of webinars where we advised participants of the proposed updates and then asked for their views. Across the webinar series we had 1958 attendees from a variety of settings including mainstream and private schools as well as specialist providers and MATs. Participants were mainly Designated Safeguarding Leads and other members of the senior leadership team such as Deputy/Assistant Head Teachers and Trust Safeguarding Leads.

This submission is a summary of the responses from that process.
