Keeping Children Safe in Out of School Settings

We're excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new safeguarding platform designed to meet the needs of organisations, clubs, charities and tutors working outside of the school environment. In this session, we will introduce the service and its many benefits to organisations supporting children and adults at risk outside of the school environment and the positive impact this can have upon making out communities safer for everyone. Details on membership packages and how to access the service will be shared and we will welcome your feedback. 

Tara Lawson is a dedicated safeguarding professional with 15 years’ experience of working with children, young people, and adults at risk, across a number of settings, including custody, social care, education, community, and sports organisations.

Tara is passionate about making safeguarding simple, and ensuring that legislation, guidance, and best practice is accessible and understandable to everyone, from an organisation’s board of trustees, right through to children and adults at risk and their families or guardians. Tara aims to remove the worry that so many organisations have about getting safeguarding wrong and replace it with confident understanding.
