Prepare your staff for the new academic year with our September Safeguarding Training Pack for schools and education settings. Designed for use during September INSET and annual safeguarding refresher training, the 2026 pack helps designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) deliver an engaging and practical update based on Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2026.
Members can access a fully updated safeguarding training PowerPoint, presenter notes, practical safeguarding scenarios and a processes handout covering key areas including child in need, child protection, children looked after and children in the secure estate. The resources are designed to help staff understand what has changed, recognise safeguarding concerns and know how to respond appropriately.
Note: The material in this update session is based on the Information Only version of Keeping Children Safe in Education released on the 7th July 2026. We will monitor the release of the final version and where necessary will update this pack.
