New date added due to first webinar being at capacity
At Safeguarding Network we understand the importance of staying informed and prepared, even in years with minimal changes to statutory guidelines. This year, while the updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 (KCSiE) may be limited, there are still crucial safeguarding topics that require our collective attention.
This inspired us to put together a comprehensive and timely KCSiE 2024 & Safeguarding Update Webinar. Due to the first webinar reaching capacity, we have arranged to repeat the webinar on the 24th September at 4.30pm, we'd love for you to join us.
What will it cover?
During this essential webinar, we will cover a range of pivotal safeguarding topics designed to keep you informed and prepared:
KCSiE 2024 changes: Understand the latest updates and how they impact your safeguarding policies.
The Jay review on child exploitation: Tens of thousands of children and young people are at risk of being exploited across the UK. We'll be looking at Action for Children's report on what is working well and what more can be done.
Responses to youth violence: 47% of children reported that violence and the fear of violence impacted their day-to-day lives. We'll cover recognising signs of youth violence, taking preventative action, and empowering pupils to make informed choices for lasting safety.
The growing threat of spice in vapes: One in six vapes confiscated in schools now contain spice, understand how we may support young people in breaking those habits.
Changes to safeguarding inspection: As of April 2024, the government made changes to the safeguarding and inspection process to include early monitoring, we'll touch on how this affects your setting.
Focus on children with SEND: Gain insights into tailored safeguarding strategies for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
