Safeguarding Network is committed to providing high quality content on matters which directly affect schools and other establishments working with children and young people around the subject of safeguarding.  Our ability to continue to provide this service depends on our users and subscribers understanding this policy and complying with it.

Safeguarding Network reserves the right to amend this policy at any time by updating this page.  Any update will become effective from point of publication on the website.

The content of this policy was reviewed on the 11th February 2024.

What is allowed?

Some materials are accessible without a subscription. These materials are available to all and Safeguarding Network permits copies of these materials to be downloaded for individual use. You may also share links to these materials, so long as the original webpage is given with the appropriate link. Where we have linked to another website or provide the copy of materials created by other organisations, the copyright for that material remains with those organisations and you should make appropriate enquiries with the owning organisation should you wish to replicate those materials.

If you subscribe to Safeguarding Network you have access to the a range of materials created by Safeguarding Network on the website, these being dependent on your role.  These are designed to support organisations in discharging their safeguarding responsibilities, and therefore materials can be used freely within organisations that have a subscription to Safeguarding Network.  Subscriptions are on an individual basis - for example if one school from a multi-academy trust (MAT) is a subscriber but the rest of the schools in the MAT are not, then only the subscribing school can use the materials.  As the subscription is with the individual organisation, once an individual leaves the organisation, they no longer have access to the subscription only materials on Safeguarding Network, unless their new organisation is also a subscriber.

If the subscription has been taken out on an individual basis, then you retain rights to use the materials for as long as your subscription is active.

What is not allowed?

Use of any subscription only materials provided by Safeguarding Network by individuals who are not members of subscribing organisations, or who do not have a personal subscription to Safeguarding Network.

Should you wish to use materials outside the scope of what is allowed above, please contact Safeguarding Network using our contact form.
